What does it smell like?

Will tallow soap dry out my skin like regular bar soap?
No, that's the whole point. Most store bars use synthetic detergents that strip your skin and leave it tight. This is real cold-process soap that keeps its natural glycerin, and grass-fed tallow conditions as it cleans because its fatty acids are close to your skin's own oils. Skin feels soft, not squeaky.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, it's gentle enough for face and body. Tallow cleanses while it conditions, so your face won't feel tight afterward. Follow with one of our tallow balms or lotions if your skin likes extra moisture.
What does the sea salt do?
Mineral-rich sea salt adds a gentle, natural exfoliation that smooths and refreshes skin, and it gives the bar a firm, long-lasting feel. It's polish without harsh scrubbing.
Does it lather?
Yes, a soft, creamy lather rather than the big foamy bubbles synthetic detergents make (those are mostly for show and can be drying). Plenty of gentle, conditioning lather to clean with.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin?
For most people, yes, the ingredient list is short and free of synthetic fragrance, sulfates and additives. If your skin is very reactive to scent, our Unscented Sea Salt bar is the safest pick. Patch test first if you like.
