Is this a good tallow balm for oily or blemish-prone skin?
Yes, it's the one a lot of people with oily or blemish-prone skin reach for. Lemongrass and cedarwood are naturally astringent, and the whipped texture feels lighter than a rich balm, so it moisturizes and balances without feeling heavy.
Does tallow clog pores or cause breakouts?
For most skin, no. Tallow closely mimics your skin's natural oils, so it absorbs well rather than blocking pores, and we pair it with jojoba, which helps balance oil. Use a thin layer, and if your skin is very acne-prone, start a few times a week and build up.
What does "whipped" mean?
We whip the tallow to fold in air for a light, fluffy texture that melts in and absorbs quickly, much lighter than a dense, solid balm. A little goes a long way.
What does it smell like?
Fresh, clean lemongrass with woody cedarwood, from real essential oils. Our double-purified tallow has no beefy smell, so the scent stays bright and energizing, never overpowering.

I’ve been using the tallow face and body balm for several weeks now. For the past couple of winters I’ve had dry cracked and red skin on my left elbow. Since applying the balm on my elbow at night, it has visibly improved. It’s less red, cracked and feels alot smoother which you can see in the photos—top is before and bottom is today. I’m sorry my elbow selfies aren’t very good! It’s hard to take the photo. If you’d like I can ask a friend or family member to take it for me.

I have been using the whipped beef tallow balm for over 2 weeks, twice daily, and I love it. I have sensitive skin and dry weather makes matters worse, to the point where I get rashes on my face after showers. This balm is one of the only ones that calms my skin.
