Is it really unscented, or will it smell like beef?
It's unscented in that we add no essential oils or fragrance. Tallow has a mild natural smell of its own, but we double-purify ours so it's very faint, and since this is a rinse-off bar it washes away to leave skin clean and neutral.
Is it gentle enough for sensitive skin and the whole family?
Yes. With just grass-fed tallow, sea salt and the saponifying basics, there's very little to irritate sensitive skin, which makes it a great choice if scents bother you, and gentle enough for the whole family. Patch test first if you like.
Will it dry my skin out?
No. It's real cold-process soap that keeps its natural glycerin, and tallow conditions as it cleans because its fatty acids are close to your skin's own oils. Skin feels soft and comfortable, not stripped.
Can I use it on my face?
Yes, it's gentle enough for face and body, and being fragrance-free makes it an easy daily face wash for sensitive or easily-irritated skin.
What does the sea salt do?
Mineral-rich sea salt adds a gentle, natural exfoliation that smooths and refreshes, and helps the bar last longer.
Does it lather?
Yes, a soft, creamy, conditioning lather rather than big synthetic bubbles. Gentle and effective.

I’ve been using the tallow face and body balm for several weeks now. For the past couple of winters I’ve had dry cracked and red skin on my left elbow. Since applying the balm on my elbow at night, it has visibly improved. It’s less red, cracked and feels alot smoother which you can see in the photos—top is before and bottom is today. I’m sorry my elbow selfies aren’t very good! It’s hard to take the photo. If you’d like I can ask a friend or family member to take it for me.

It is very moisturizing, yet soaks in quickly. Scent is pleasant. Before this I used to buy other brands, they all had a strong tallow smell. this one by far is the best I have used in the past 5 years. Also I am sure it has a better tallow as this balm lasts a long time. A little goes a long way. I hope they do not increase their price over the coming years.
First time trying this product as I've heard so much of it's benefits and I must say it truly is what people have been raving about. It leaves my skin feeling so soft for over 8-10 hours!!! I have been using the whipped beef tallow balm for over 2 weeks, twice daily, and I love it. I have sensitive skin and dry weather makes matters worse, to the point where I get rashes on my face after showers. This balm is one of the only ones that calms my skin. It leave it soft and hydrated, but not greasy. I like the smell and that it does not soak in and disappear right away.
